Mission
To be a key tributary in nationalizing and developing aviation science and technology in Sudan through specialized education and training aligned with international standards.
Role
To develop the aviation industry in Sudan to keep pace with global evolution, to build highly-professional technical and administrative cadres, to nationalize aviation education and training, and to contribute to the growth of the national economy.

Historical Milestones
From a small school in 1952 to an internationally-accredited academy — a seven-decade journey of continuous development.
1952
School of Civil Aviation established at the old Air Traffic Control Tower (Khartoum Airport)
1970
Civil Aviation Training Centre opened at the current premises (6 September)
1974
Renamed to National Civil Aviation Training Institute (NCATI) with specialized departments
1976
ICAO recognition and addition of the Air Traffic Control School
1983
Communications Engineering & Navigation Aids Maintenance Section established
1991
Aviation Security section founded, NCHE-accredited diploma launched
2004
Accredited as IATA Regional Sub-Centre
2013
Awarded ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS Full Membership (September)
2015
